About Lavinia:

Lavinia Cos is an emerging pop artist and songwriter who writes super honest music while catching thousands of listeners with her unique voice.

She began her music career at the age of 4 when she participated in a karaoke contest without telling her parents and without knowing the lyrics of the song. According to her, that’s when her passion for music began.

Growing up as a child of divorced parents, it wasn’t always easy for Lavinia. Having a father who never showed much interest in her and who started “a war” against her mother, Lavinia started to write songs to cope with the pain.

Being interested in the performing arts from an early age, Lavinia always knew that she wanted to pursue a career in music. Lucky for her, her mother and stepfather have always been super supportive and gave her opportunities to get forward with her music.

Since the age of 10, Lavinia has been taking vocal and performing lessons with both, well-known German and international coaches who pushed her to get the very best out of her voice. In addition to that, Lavinia was a member of her school’s drama club and an opera choir, where she got a lot of practice in performing in front of larger crowds.

Drawing inspiration from artists like Adele and Miley Cyrus amongst many others who share their journeys through their songs, Lavinia aims to make music that people can relate to. She tells her stories in a way that people who experienced the same feel likethe song was made just for them.

“I make music responsible for the person that I am today. I feel a deep connection to Miley Cyrus and Adele because they have deepened my love for music and the need to fulfill my passion. My goal is to make music that inspires, touches, and makes people feel like they are being listened to.”

On September 19, 2021, Lavinia kicked off her journey as an artist by releasing her debut single “Until The End” which is about letting go of the ones who always made you feel bad about yourself.  Starting 2022 the right way, Lavinia released her second single “Cutting Ties” on March 4th. Lavinia wrote “Cutting Ties” as a response to her father abandoning her and never showing interest in her. She believes that this is an experience that many people share which is why she wanted to share her story. Her third single “Afraid Of Heights” will be released everywhere on April 22nd.

Currently, Lavinia is working on new music that will be released later in 2022.
